GaraMatic Operators


How to Programme a Garador GaraMatic 10 or GaraMatic 20 Operator

  1. First, switch the power on. The operator will display a U. If the operator is fitted to a Sectional door press the 'up' arrow once, the operator display will show 01. Alternatively, if the operator is fitted to an Up & Over door, press the 'up' arrow twice, the operator display will show 02
  2. Then press the PRG button; a flashing L will appear on the display.
  3. Now press the ‘up’ arrow once, the door will open and pause briefly in the open end-of-travel position. The door will then complete three further open/ close cycles. During this process the travel, required lifting forces and connected safety devices will be taught.
  4. The door will come to a stop in the open end-of-travel position; after which the operator lamp will remain illuminated for approximately one minute.
  5. Once the taught-in-forces have been displayed, the operator will automatically display a flashing ‘11’, and the operator will be ready to register handsets for the impulse control function.
  6. For the impulse control function, press and hold the button on the handset you require to operate this function. If a valid code is detected, an ‘11’ on the operator display will flash quickly. Release the button on the handset; that button has now been successfully taught and is ready for operation.
  7. Once all handsets have been taught, press the PRG button once and use the ‘up’ and ‘down’ arrows to select 00. Next, press the PRG button once, a horizontal line will appear at the top of the display.
  8. The operator has now completed the learn cycle and is ready for general operation.

How to Programme Your handset for Your GaraMatic 10 or GaraMatic 20 Operator

  1. Press and hold the button on the handset. If a valid code is detected, the ‘11’ on the operator display will flash quickly.
  2. Release the button on the handset, it is now ready for operation.
  3. The ‘11’ will now flash slowly on the operator display allowing further handsets to be taught to the operator.
  4. Once all handsets have been programmed, press the PRG button once.
  5. Using the ‘up’ and ‘down’ arrows select menu 00. Then, press the PRG button once; a horizontal line will appear at the top of the display.
  6. The operator has now completed the learn cycle and is ready for general operation.

How to Programme a Garador GaraMatic 9 Operator

  1. Switch the power on, the operator lamp will flash twice.
  2. Press and release the transparent button ‘T’ on the operator. The door will open and pause briefly in the open end-of-travel position.
  3. The door will automatically close and return to the open position, it will then complete two further open/ close cycles during which the operator lamp will flash continuously.
  4. The door will come to a stop in the open end-of-travel position; the operator lamp will remain illuminated for approximately two minutes.
  5. The operator has now completed the learn cycle and is ready for general operation.

How to Programme your handset for your Garador GaraMatic 9 Operator

  1. Locate the segmented ‘P’ button on the base of the operator. Press the ‘P’ button once. The LED within the transparent button will flash once.
  2. Now press and hold the button on the handset you require to operate the door.
  3. If a valid code is detected, the LED within the transparent button will flash quickly. You can now release the button on the handset.
  4. The handset button has now been successfully taught and the operator is ready to use.
  5. The LED within the transparent button will now flash slowly, allowing further handsets to be taught to the operator.
  6. Once you have finished teaching handsets to the operator, press the ‘P’ button on the base of the operator twice.

How to Programme Handset to Handset Recognition

  1. In this video, handset A is the original handset. Handset B is the one you want to transmit the code to.
  2. Press and hold the transmitter button on handset A. The LED will illuminate solid blue for 2 seconds and then go out. Then the LED will flash red/ blue signalling that the radio code is being transmitted for teaching.
  3. Now press and hold the transmitter button on handset B. The LED on handset B will flash slowly in blue. If the radio code has been recognised by handset B, the LED flashes quickly in blue and then goes out.
  4. Release the buttons on both handsets. Your new handset is ready to use.

How to Programme Garador Wireless Wall Console

  1. Place the wireless wall console to the right of your Garador remote handset.
  2. Press and hold the top transmitter button on your remote handset. The LED light will now illuminate blue for 2 seconds and then go out. After 5 seconds it will flash red and blue indicating that the radio signal is being transmitted from handset to wall console.
  3. Now press and hold the transmitter button on your wireless wall console. The LED will flash slowly in blue.
  4. If the radio signal is recognised by your wireless wall console, the LED on your wireless wall console will flash quickly in blue and go out after 2 seconds.
  5. Finally, release both buttons on your remote handset and wall console. Your wall console is now ready to use.

How to Programme a Garador Wireless Code Switch

  1. Press any button to illuminate the keypad. Then press the key switch followed by button one and then the key switch again.
  2. Next, enter in a 4-6 digit personal code, followed by the key switch. Then re-enter the same 4-6 digit personal code and press the key switch.
  3. Your code switch is now ready to use.
  4. To programme a code into any of the other 9 memory spaces, please repeat this process and press either button 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 or 0 instead of 1.

How to Programme a Garador Wireless Code Switch to a Handset

  1. Press any button to illuminate the keypad. Then press the key switch followed by button one and then the key switch again.
  2. Next, enter in a 4-6 digit personal code, followed by the key switch. Then re-enter the same 4-6 digit personal code and press the key switch.
  3. Your code switch is now ready to use.

How to Downgrade a Series 3 Handset to Work on a Series 2 Operator

  1. Place your series 3 handset to the right of your old handset.
  2. Press and hold the transmitter button on handset A. The LED will illuminate red, indicating that a radio code is being transmitted.
  3. On handset B press and hold the transmitter button, to which the new radio code is to be allocated. The LED will now flash slowly in red.
  4. If the radio code is recognised the LED will flash quickly in red for 2 seconds, before going out.
  5. Release both buttons on both handsets. The radio code has now been transferred from handset A to handset B.
